Central Elementary There will not be tutoring tomorrow afternoon, Wednesday, April 9.

Central Elementary- Tomorrow, students may bring $1 to wear a hat. All proceeds will benefit our school American Heart Association challenge.

Central Elementary- AMI assignments for Friday, February 21st. 3rd Grade ELA: Using your descriptive paragraph about the snow (from Wednesday), circle all the verbs and underline the nouns. Math: Write your 8, 9, and 10 multiplication facts (3 times each) 4th Grade ELA: Write five complete sentences that include a plural noun. Example nouns - girls, people, cats, basketballs. OR - read a book and write a paragraph with five sentences about the book you read. Math: Write and answer five subtraction problems with 4 digits - 4 digits that require regrouping and solve. (Ex. 6234 - 1789) 5th Grade ELA: Using the same "Building a Snowman" paragraph, go back and underline all nouns used in each sentence. Math: Write and answer three problems that include two decimals (Ex. 2.23 x 4.5 = 10.035)

Central Elementary- AMI for Thursday, February 20th. 3rd Grade ELA: Using your paragraph about the snow (from 2/19), circle capital letters and punctuation. Math: Write your 5, 6, and 7 multiplication facts. (3 times each) 4th Grade ELA: Write a paragraph with 5 sentences about what you would like to do on a snow day. Use complete sentences and indent your paragraph Math: Write 5 division problems with a 4-digit dividend and solve (Ex. 2345 ÷ 5) 5th Grade ELA: Use the "Building a Snowman" paragraph you wrote on 2/19 - go back and circle main and/or helping verbs. Math: Solve the following problems: A. 1/8 x 1/5 = ? B. 4/8 x 1/4 = ? C. 8/9 x 3/4 = ? D. 7/10 x 7/9 = ? E. 12/11 x 5/6 = ?

Central Elementary- Have your student complete the AMI assignments for their grade level tomorrow. Stay warm and have fun!

Central Elementary - Our book fair and family reading night have been rescheduled for tomorrow (Thursday, February 6) from 5:30-7:00. The book fair will be open and our ELA teachers will have lots of fun activities for the kids. We hope to see you all there!

Central Elementary- Please have your student complete both the ELA and Math assignment and return tomorrow. 3rd grade: ELA- read AR book and write a paragraph about what was read. Math- write your 6,7,8, and 9 multiplication facts. (Ex-0x6=0, 1x6= 6.) 4th grade: ELA- Write 5 sentences with a subject, and verb. Include capital letters and an end mark. Math-Create 4 long division problems (4 digit dividend) and solve. 5th grade: ELA-Write a 5-7 sentence paragraph about plans to spend their day. Underline any Main verbs and Helping verbs used in each sentence. •Study Helping Verbs list Math-Write and solve 5 problems on adding fractions or mixed numbers with unlike denominators.

Central Elementary- Our family reading night and book fair scheduled tomorrow night (Monday, February 3rd) will be postponed. We will let you know ASAP when it is rescheduled. AMI assignments that need to be completed will be sent via text tomorrow morning for each grade level.

Central Elementary- The forecast this week has extremely cold weather and single digit wind chills. Please make sure your child is dressed appropriately for the cold weather including: coats, gloves, hats, etc. We will only go out to recess if the wind chill is above 32 degrees each day.

Central Elementary 5th Grade Parents, the Dare Graduation is on Thursday, November 21, at 9:00 AM. The doors will open at 8:45 AM.

Central Elementary- The Veteran's Day program will be held tomorrow, Friday, November 8th at the BEC. Students are asked to wear red, white, and blue to celebrate.

Central Elementary- Don't forget about family Olympic Math games tonight from 5:30-7:00 at Central. See everyone there!!

Central Elementary- Family Math Night is tomorrow, Thursday, November 7th from 5:30-7:00. Please plan on joining us for a fun night of Olympic Math Games. Student prizes will be awarded based on attendance.

Central Elementary Picture retakes are scheduled for Thursday, November 7. Any new students will have their pictures taken. If you want your child to retake their picture, please return the picture packet. You can visit Central's website to find the link to order pictures.

**Central Elementary Announcement** On Tuesday, November 5, we will have an AMI Day (Alternative Method of Instruction). Students will be assigned work for both math and English Language Arts (ELA). To be counted as present for the day, students must complete both assignments. If a student is missing one assignment, they will be marked absent for half a day. If both assignments are missing, the student will be counted absent for the entire day.

Central Elementary- Due to the increased chance of rain tomorrow, the costume parade at Central has been cancelled. Sorry for the inconvenience!!

Central Elementary- There is NO AIM TUTORING on Thursday, October 31st. Please make plans for your student to go home after school dismissal that day.
