Dear Parents, The process for morning drop-off and afternoon pick-up will be exactly like last year. We will run double lines until you get to the first grade playground area. At this point, we will move into a single line inside the cones for drop-off and pick-up.

Southwest Elementary-Please make plans to attend the Back-to-School Bash on July 31st from 10:00 a.m.-6:00 p.m. in the Bearcat Event Center. Parent/Guardians need to accompany students to get their parent portal information set-up, online registration completed, school pictures taken, and student schedule. All students will need to bring a copy of their birth certificate, shot records, and any legal documents to upload into our new system.

Southwest celebrated Read Across America week March 4th - 8th! We celebrated by reading aloud in class and by welcoming guest readers into our classrooms! A big thank you to the parents, grandparents, and community members that shared stories with our students!

2nd Quarter Report Cards are going home today! Please sign the bottom portion of the report card and return it along with the manila envelope on Monday.

Southwest Title Night - Fall Into Math Thursday, November 9th 6 - 7 p.m.

If your child sold trash bags, they must be picked up before 7:00 p.m. today. You may pick up trash bags at the back of the BEC from 12:00-2:30 or from 3:30-6:30 today.

Southwest Students will sell trash bags from September 5th - September 19th! If you have a Southwest student, please check red folders for more information.

Southwest will have Grandparents Night on Monday, September 11th from 5:00-7:00.

Southwest Elementary is uniting with Stoddard County schools to raise money for the Woodland School. These funds will be utilized for those impacted by the Wednesday morning tornado. This fundraiser will begin tomorrow and conclude on Friday. Wednesday - Friday - Southwest Bucket Brigade Send your change or extra dollars to fill the bucket for Woodland! The class that raises the most money will have popsicles and extra playtime on the playground of their choice. Thursday - Hat Day Students can bring a dollar to donate to the fundraiser and wear their favorite hat.

Rock Your Socks Join us on Tuesday, March 21st as we rock our socks for World Down Syndrome Day. Please have your student wear crazy/mismatched socks to support our friends with an extra chromosome!
