Mrs. Smith's advisory participated in the Mother-to-Mother paint Stoddard County blue this April. April is National Child Abuse Prevention Month. the pinwheel represent hope, health, and happiness. Planting pinwheels raises awareness about child abuse prevention and recognizes that child development is a building block for community and economic development.

Congratulations to the DHS Choir students and Mrs. Sepulvado! All five choirs received a “1” exemptary rating today at the MSHSAA State Choir Contest.

Due to inclement weather, the tennis match and softball game scheduled for today have been postponed.

Congratulations to the DHS Varsity Scholar Bowl team on winning 3rd place at the Bell City Tournament. Ben Rybolt won 2nd place for individual top scorers. Great job!!!

Our volleyball team will face Notre Dame tonight for the Class 3 District 1 Championship. The game will be played in the BEC beginning at 6:00pm. Go Bearcats!!

Athletic Update
We were notified by Malden this morning that they will not be able to play football this Friday. At this point, we will not play on Friday.
We plan to honor our seniors(band members and fall athletes) at the district game on October 29. The game will be played at Dexter. More details to come next week.

A rear-door school bus evacuation drill will be held on Tuesday,
October 19 and Wednesday, October 20 in the south parking lot of the
Bearcat Event Center. All students who ride a Dexter R-XI school bus
will participate in the emergency drill.
