DHS - Graduation Ceremony Update

Graduation will start at 6:30 pm on Friday, May 8th.

Doors will open at 5:00 pm

Guest Entry & Security Guidelines
To ensure everyone is seated and ready for the ceremony to begin on time, please follow these security protocols:

Metal Detector Screening: All guests must pass through metal detectors before entering the seating area.

Bag Policy: Please leave all purses, backpacks, and bags in your vehicle. This significantly speeds up the entry process for everyone.

Cell Phones: You may keep your phone on you; cell phones will not trigger the detectors.

Secondary Screening: If you set off the alarm, you will be directed to a secondary area where Dexter PD officers will conduct a brief screening of you and your belongings.

Pro Tip: Arriving a few minutes early and leaving bags behind is the fastest way to get through the line and into your seat.

A graphic outlining security procedures for an upcoming ceremony. It states that all guests must pass through metal detectors and asks that purses and bags be left in vehicles to ensure a timely start. It notes that cell phones are permitted through detectors, but any guest who triggers an alarm will undergo secondary screening by Dexter PD officers.

HOCO Dance Pick-up Message

We’re excited to host our first home sporting event of the new year and welcome our students, families, and visitors back into our gym! 🏀
As part of our ongoing commitment to safety, we are implementing new security protocols for home events. One of the most visible updates will be the use of our new OpenGate weapons detectors at the entrance to the basketball arena.
What to expect:
All visitors will walk through the detectors before entering.
You do not need to empty your pockets of phones, keys, or money.
We strongly encourage guests to leave bags in their vehicles whenever possible or use a clear bag.
If the system detects an item, visitors may be asked to complete a brief secondary check, which could include emptying pockets or having a bag inspected.
A short explanation of this process is included with this message so everyone knows what to expect before arriving.
Thank you for your patience and cooperation as we take these steps to keep our student-athletes, coaches, staff, and guests as safe as possible. We appreciate your support and look forward to a great home event!
