These fifth and sixth grade students were selected to represent Dexter in the Missouri Choral Directors Association Honors Choir, held at Jefferson City on Wednesday, July 17. The MCDA Honors Choir is an audition-only group; the audition process consisted of the students recording their voices and submitting the recordings among hundreds of students from around the state of Missouri.  They learned that they were selected at the beginning of May.

These students gave up summer time for rehearsals.  They arrived at Jefferson City and sang with the other students selected in an all-day rehearsal with the incredible Dr. Julie Shaw.  Their concert was performed in the evening and they were wonderful!

Congratulations for representing Dexter so well!  We are so proud of your achievements and see your passion for choral music shining through!
